Connect your AI
Then just ask: "tell me when…"
Connect ZeroWhen to your AI assistant once. Then it can set up watchers for you, tell you what they found, change them, and explain what things cost. You sign in to ZeroWhen once. You can disconnect at any time.
Why connect your AI?
You don't have to. Our own website has an AI helper that sets up watchers for you, too. Connecting is worth it when:
- You're already chatting with your AI. Just say "tell me when this drops below $200", right there in the chat.
- Your AI already knows what you're working on, so you don't have to explain it again.
- You can ask what your watchers found, change them or pause them, all in your own words.
- Once it's set up, it works from your AI's phone app, too.
If you don't already use Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, don't bother. Just use the ZeroWhen website. It does the same things.
How to connect
Your AI app will ask for an address. Copy this one exactly:
https://app.zerowhen.com/mcpClaude (claude.ai, the desktop and mobile apps)
- On claude.ai, open Customize → Connectors (in some versions: Settings → Connectors).
- Click +, then Add custom connector.
- Name it ZeroWhen and paste
https://app.zerowhen.com/mcp. - Claude then shows some settings, already filled in for you (marked Detected). You should see Authentication Sign in now and OAuth client Register automatically. Leave them as they are, don't add anything, and click Add.
- Click Connect and sign in to ZeroWhen. We email you a code. (If you have an access key from your account, you can use that instead.)
- Claude lists what ZeroWhen lets it do, in two groups. We suggest: Read-only tools: Always allow. These only look at your watchers and what they found. And Write/delete tools: Needs approval. Then Claude asks you first before it makes, changes or deletes a watcher.
- In a chat, turn ZeroWhen on under + → Connectors if it isn't already.
This works on every Claude plan. The free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner has to add the connector for everyone first.
ChatGPT
- On chatgpt.com, open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Create a new app and name it ZeroWhen.
- Where it asks for the MCP server URL (the address), paste
https://app.zerowhen.com/mcp. For authentication, choose OAuth. - Sign in to ZeroWhen when ChatGPT asks.
Developer mode is only on the ChatGPT website. You need a Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Education account. ChatGPT asks you first before it changes anything.
Gemini
- On gemini.google.com, open Settings → Connected Apps.
- Under Custom apps, choose Add a custom app, paste
https://app.zerowhen.com/mcpand click Next. - Sign in to ZeroWhen and approve.
You need a personal Google account. Keep Activity must be on (Settings → Activity). Add the app on the Gemini website; then it works on your phone too. Google is adding this slowly, so far in the US and in English. If your Settings has no Connected Apps → Custom apps, you can't use it yet. If you write code, there is another way (see the developer section below). Google's help page.
Command-line assistants
Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http zerowhen https://app.zerowhen.com/mcp
Gemini CLI, in ~/.gemini/settings.json:
{ "mcpServers": { "zerowhen": { "httpUrl": "https://app.zerowhen.com/mcp" } } }
Both open a browser to sign you in the first time.
Any other MCP client: use the URL above with the Streamable HTTP transport; sign-in is OAuth, discovered automatically.
Then try
- "What are my ZeroWhen watchers doing?"
- "Tell me when this page mentions tickets: …"
- "Which sites can I use to watch for a used Porsche 911 near Vancouver?"
- "What has come up since I last asked?"
Good to know
- Your AI sees your watchers and what they found only when you ask it. To see or disconnect your AI apps, go to Account in your ZeroWhen dashboard.
- ZeroWhen tells your AI which sites allow watching. So it won't set up something that could get your own account on that site banned.
- AI apps change their menus often. We checked these steps on 28 September 2026. If something looks different, tell us at [email protected].
